Collection: Thermostatic shower columns

A thermostatic column automatically regulates temperature and keeps it constant throughout your shower, with two separate controls (one for temperature and one for flow). A single-lever column is adjusted manually with one control and does not compensate for pressure changes elsewhere in the house.

The internal mechanism automatically stops or limits hot water if it detects a sudden drop in cold water pressure, for example when someone flushes the toilet or opens another tap, preventing scalding. This is the main reason it is recommended for homes with children or older people.

No building work is needed for an exposed column: it mounts on the wall just like a single-lever model, using the same water connections. Only concealed versions require the mechanism to be recessed into the wall.

It works best with standard domestic water pressure (between 1 and 5 bar). At very low pressure, anti-scald protection may limit flow. Where relevant, this is indicated in each model's product details.

If you shower children or older people, or simply want to avoid readjusting the temperature whenever someone else uses water at home, yes: its stability and safety justify the extra cost compared with a single-lever model.

Very little: clean with water and a soft cloth, avoiding abrasive or acidic products that could damage the PVD finish. No recalibration or regular technical servicing is required.
